  If you're managing your own bookkeeping — or you've recently taken over a file — it can be really hard to know whether everything has been entered, reconciled and reported the way it should be.

Most people who book a Health Check are sitting somewhere between:

That's exactly what this review is for.

 This is a structured one-off review of your bookkeeping file — focused on whether your accounts are set up correctly, reconciled properly and positioned for accurate reporting.

We look at things like:

• Bank and clearing account balances and reconciliation status.
• GST, BAS, PAYG and superannuation obligation positioning.
• Chart of accounts structure and whether transactions are being coded consistently.
• Key balance sheet items and whether they look right.
• Software setup and connected apps where relevant.

The goal is to give you a clear picture of where things are in good shape and where there are gaps or issues that need attention.

 Once the review is done you'll receive a clear summary of what we found, including:

• What's looking accurate and consistent.
• Any risks, gaps or areas of concern.
• Practical recommendations for what needs attention.
• Suggested next steps in plain English.

If follow up work is needed we'll talk through what's involved and quote for it separately — so you're always in control of what happens next. 

• You manage your own bookkeeping and want someone to check you've been doing it correctly.

• You're heading into EOFY, a BAS period or an accountant review and want confidence your records are in order.

This review covers your general bookkeeping and compliance position — it doesn't include a detailed payroll review. If your main concerns are around payroll setup, superannuation or how employees are being paid, the Payroll Review is the more suitable service for that. 

To complete the review properly we'll need temporary access to your accounting software so we can look at your reconciliations, balances and how things are set up. No changes are made during the review and access can be removed as soon as we're done.
