That's where advisory support comes in.
For many of our clients advisory support is included as part of their monthly package — so instead of paying extra every time they have a question or want to talk through their numbers, it's just part of how we work together.
what advisory support can include
Every client is different, so advisory support looks different depending on what you need. It can include things like:
- Walking through your profit and loss and balance sheet so you actually understand what they're telling you
- Looking at your profit margins and whether your pricing is working for your business
- Cashflow reviews — understanding where your money is going and the timing of payments in and out
- Forecasting and planning ahead so you're not caught out
- Regular performance check-ins to keep you across how the business is tracking
- Systems and workflow reviews to make sure your processes are as efficient as they can be
- App integration support — connecting your business tools so everything works together properly
- HR intermediary support (see below)
The idea is that you have someone in your corner who knows your numbers and can help you make sense of them — not just at tax time, but throughout the year.

As a qualified HR intermediary we can act as the go-between for your business and a HR provider or advisor. This means helping make sure payroll data, HR updates and employee records are being managed efficiently and nothing gets missed along the way.
To be clear — we don't give HR advice or interpret awards ourselves. That's the job of a qualified HR professional. What we do is make sure the communication and implementation between your business and your HR support runs smoothly, and that the right information is getting to the right people.
Where specialist HR or legal advice is needed, we'll connect you with trusted professionals to make sure you're properly supported.

Most clients start with our core bookkeeping services or a one-off specialist review — like a Health Check or Payroll Review — and then move into advisory support once the foundations are in place.
It's a natural progression. Once your books are accurate and your obligations are under control, it makes sense to start using that information to make better decisions about your business.
